Text bug

Issue: Text that starts with 3 underscores  ( "___" ) generates a "Failed to perform Boolean operation" error when attempting to extrude it.

Repro steps -

1. Create a sketch.

2. Create text.

3. Make text three underscores.

4. Finish sketch.

5. Attempt to extrude text.

Additional info.

  • I messed around a bit with adding characters before and after the three underscores and it seems like those need to be the first characters in the text string for this to occur.
  • If the text string has two underscores, it can be extruded. If the sketch is edited and a third underscore is added, that third underscore is not extruded.  If additional text is added after that third underscore, the third underscore is not extruded, but the additional text is.

Very strange.

@mike4nospam

Hi, what font are you using?  I tried this with basic Arial, and it worked on the first try.  Can you share your file?
