Tangent chain chamfer worked once but never again

so i made this fin with an 8* chamfer on it. i Ended up screwing up and having to start over, when i try to make the 8* chamfer it says i need to disable tangent chain and i can't find anything that helps. I AM NOU USING FILLET.
