Hey, thanks for taking the time to read this. I've imported a step file for my rotary axis tool, and want to use it later as a fixture. So my plan was to add joints at each axis (done), setup some rigid groups for each component / rotary section, and a few joints.
I think I'm there, as the motion link works for the chuck jaws, rotary is fine, and the tailstock rotary and pin slider joints work, but the slider between the base plate component and tailstock doesn't react when driven. I guess I have my rigid groups wrong or something?
My inclination was to goto the tailstock and setup rigid joints between bolt + washer, washer and base/arch, etc, but I'd originally assumed I could just rigid group the lot instead.
Please help educate me as to where I've gone wrong in actions or assumptions!
