Table Coordinates vs. CAD Coordinates

So I understand a CNC machine typically uses the right hand rule for the coordinates and tool direction. I have an XYZ gantry router so the 0,0,0 is the left lower corner. If I tile on this machine the long dimension is along the Y axis.

In AutoCad typically the long dimension of a part, 4x8 foot plywood sheet in this case is along the CAD X axis.

Is it as simple as creating an offset with 90 degree rotation? Or do you rotate and shift the CAD file prior to generating G-code?

The Manufacture software is so flexible, you can do as you need with the click of a button.

You select the lower left vertex of the stock, or any other position you wish for the datum.

Preferences in the design area also allows for defaults as Z up or Y up.

Might help....

When you create the CAM setup, set the Orientation and Origin.  There is no need to rotate the model.  You can select any face to be Z and X or Y.
