Can any help on this .  I am not sure why my full sketch is moving and not just the 2 line I select with symmetry tool .  I guess its to do with constraints , but I am very new to fusion

Thx Andy

The Symmetry Constraint is working as requested.

Your right, it is to do with a lack of constraints for the other parts of the sketch.

Finished sketches should not have any blue / orange lines - make black fully constrained ones for best results.

Might help....

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I always back up and look at the first sketch.

I would use Equal (=) and/or Coincident constraints rather than duplicate dimensions.

A change - changes everywhere.

Now on to the rest of the story...

Resolve issues as they occur.

What is the purpose of Sketch7?

Why did you create bodies and then remove them?

Sketch9 - I tell my students to create one line or one rectangle or one circle and dimension it (fully define) immediately, then move on to the next line, rectangle or circle and repeat.  Now repeat again.

You should never have a screen full of blue geometry.

I recommend that you start over from scratch and stop and ask questions at the first sign of difficulty.

I generally consider my first attempt as simply a quick and dirty exercise to understand the geometry.  Once I understand the geometry I almost always start over from scratch.

can you explain the "I would use Equal (=) and/or Coincident constraints rather than duplicate dimensions" ?  not sure I fully understand the use ?  Thx

Okay so start on the drawing managed to get all the lines black on the edges and I've already run into a problem with its blue I've included a photo and video I'm not sure why it's not conforming to any lines ? This is obviously where I went wrong when I carried on working when it was all in blue
