Sweep using two splines

I am trying to recreate a complex surface by using sweep with two orthogonal splines. In the attached image, the roughly semi-circular spline is the path and the long, gentle curve is the profile that I want to use. However, Fusion will not let me select that spline as the profile. I've tried to extrude and pull, but neither lets me select it. I've tried open/close spline curve, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. Is there some way that I can get the spline to be the profile for the sweep? Thanks.

can only speculate based on the pic.  exporting and attaching your .f3d file will yield better answers.

some guesses-

-neither of your sketches are showing a profile even though they appeared closed.  do you have rofiles checked on in your sketch pallet?

-there's a white dot in there.  shouldn't be.  that needs to be investigated.

-a suggestion, your using WAY to many points in your splines.  as a result surface quality is going to suck, and fusion will work harder than it should have to.  future operations on the resulting body may be difficult because of the poor surface quality. (turn on the curvature combs on the splines to get an idea of just how bad the curvature is).

Thank you for your reply. I took your advice and reduced the number of points on the spline to the degree I could. It turned out that the problem was that I hadn’t actually closed the profile spline completely - I had missed the first point by a fraction of a mm. One I got that closed, it worked with no issue.

@doug_pfeiffer

For future reference, right mouse button Close Spline Curve...

Hi! Please share the f3d file here. The forum experts can help take a look.

Many thanks!
