So, we are trying to model a Vertical axis Wind Turbine a height of 600 and Diameter of 700mm. The airfoil used is NACA0018. the helix angle is 90. In my file i have made a helix line and a plane on its path on purpose, this is because i was the NACA0018 swept in a way where it is perpendicular to the helix line at every point, not parallel. When i do try to sweep the airfoil, i end up getting multiple faces on the body which is not needed as for analysis this causes an issue. Kindly help in resolving my issue. Find the attached f3d file below and a quick response will be highly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't see multiple faces.

From an aerodynamic point of view, rounding at the trailing edge is unfavorable anyway.

This is not what we need. I will add an image for your ref. This image is for helix of 80 degrees, ours is 90 degrees. And it should be counter clockwise

If you need two different profiles you must use "loft".
With sweep you can only use one profile.

if you notice, i did get the sweep in my file except there are faces on the body which cannot be included in the analysis. And could you do it in Loft and upload the file here?

1. If the rounding is to be retained, two surfaces are also created with the loft.
2. If only one surface is to be created, the trailing edge must be pointed.
3. If the trailing edge is pointed, the aerodynamic calculation is distorted.
