SVG file Chamfer issues. How to recreate shape in fusion 360?

I'm having the notorious SVG file errors when trying to chamfer the edges of the extruded shape. I've tried to create a sketch by selecting the shape but had the same errors. Is there an easy way to recreate this shape in 360 without redrawing it manually?  I have experience with AutoCAD, PCB layout software & photoshop but this takes the cake for the most frustrating. I cannot get this program to cooperate & when I do it leads to a dead end.

Hi @tameldjr ,

Thank you for posting to the Fusion 360 forum.

SVG files are generally 2D vectors or line works, we can import into Fusion 360 then can Fix/Unfix to make them editable.

Imported SVG files having a green color and editable sketch having a blue color.

please take a look at the below screen-cast video that might help.

@Anonymous - probably need to share the SVG in question.  Things to look for are:  areas of very high curvature in the sketch curves - these will make the chamfer more likely to fail.  Similarly, "near tangencies" between adjacent curves can also make chamfer fail.  But, in short, to answer your question directly:  "Is there an easy way to recreate this shape in 360 without redrawing it manually? "  No, there is not.  But, if there are, indeed areas of high curvature, even redrawing might not get you success.
