Surface Sweeping with irregular-shape path

Hi, 

I am trying to create a segment of a parachute using the Surface tool. 

I can create a smooth segment, however I'd like to add a bit of detail to show a bit of the stitch line, like below

 

I added the stitch line in the path, but when sweeping, it warns about the path being not smooth.

How can I add such feature to the surface?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Perhaps an approach. I had to modify the mid-rail for getting this shape.

I've not checked the other posters' solutions and we might have similar approaches.
