Surface Finish Symbol in a Note

Hello,

I am trying to write a catch-call note about surface finish, yet I cannot place the surface finish symbol unless it is attached to a surface in my drawing. I have tried to copy and paste a 3rd-party sourced surface finish symbol to no avail. Is there any way to do this?

The Symbol Command needs geometry to attach to. Have a look at the workflow in the video below. I am using a note in a sketch with a small line (the symbol attaches to the line).
