With the lack of multi configurable components in fusion (please enable this soon AD), I've been experimenting with assemblies of assemblies.
When I bring I link in an assembled component to a "master file" of the full assembly, I can suppress the joints in a linked component - Great! - then I can layout all the parts on a sheet for manufacture.
BUT, if I amend one of the linked components down the tree (because I can't do it from the master file 
), It warns me this component is out of date, I updated it, and ahhhhhhh, the joint suppression is gone and the layout is destroyed.
I tried suppressing the joints in the linked file, but this does not work.
The only options seems to be to delete the joints in the linked file?
Any suggestions?
Is there away to maintain suppressed joints, or suppressed anything for that matter, in the linked file, so that only the users parameters update from the linked file?
