Superimpose two reliefs

Hello everybody,

I want to superimpose two reliefs which have same flat base for create a new relief with a a flat base.
This is equivalent to superimpose of layers as we can see for geological strata.

Each point of the surface, is the sum of many heights (axe in Z).

I haven't found the tool to generate this.

What form of data are these relives available in ?

I have a workflow in mind that involves height maps in form of grey scale images, but it will very likely also involve software other than Fusion 360 and in the process certainly some accuracy would be lost.
