hy guys.

I have some .stl files which appears bigger when import in F360.

When 3D-printing the same files, the object is ok, but imported in fusio360 is bigger.

I also have some .pts file for tool path, and when I import it, its just okay on the object, but is also bigger??

Any clue?

here is the file

You don't mention intended size.

You don't mention intended units (inch or mm)?

when you use "file-open" to open a .stl fusion uses a cloud converter.  this converter assumes cm as the unit. regardless of what your model units are.

if you use insert, the model will come in using the units your model is currently set for (should probably be mm) gives you a dialogue box allowing you to set the correct units-

FWIW, this has been a long standing source of confusion.  so far AD hasn't bothered to address the problem because, quote "there's a work around for it".

Thanks that solved one of my problems.

Now I have to scale down 10x Cvs.

What is the best way to do it? Beascuse it obviously get in cm to fusion.

If you set the correct Import Mesh Units - you should not need to scale anything.

This sounds like a new issue.

It should be in a new thread (this thread was about stl mesh files).

And include the actual file.

Can you Attach that file here?

You should be able to Scale after import of the file.

Or maybe only on inserting.

.

that's what this setting is for-

place your first dim between 2 points of known distance, and enter the value the distance is suppose to be.  the whole sketch will scale accordingly.
