Hey @Anonymous,

I have created a video about how to create you own texture, but the idea is the same for Materials:

Hi @Anonymous,

The video that @Beyondforce created goes over the basics on how to modify existing materials.  There are also some base materials in the Appearance material library that you can use to start a texture from scratch.

Hope that helps.

What you are asking for is physical materials rather than appearance materials (textures).
However, the process is basically the same.

Select a 3D object in the viewport, right-click and select "Physical material" from the menu.

If the material you are looking for is not available in the library you duplicate an existing one peharps with similar properties and edit that duplicate.

When done, save it to your favorites.

Has anyone ever sorted this out. I tried the suggestion, but there is no way to duplicate, save or select a custom material in Fusion that I can find in the Model space. There is in Simulation and I created a custom library and added materials to that. However, that library does not appear for use in the Model space.

THANK YOU! The key point that I missed is that the new materials show up in favorites, not in the new library I created to contain the materials I created. I am not sure why one needs to create a library if that isn’t used anywhere, but I can live with finding them in Favorites. Very cool of you. THANK SO MUCH.
