Status of Idea in IdeaStation

Would someone please explain what happens with ideas submitted under IdeaStation?  I submitted an idea last fall.  It was assigned tracking # FUS-15315.  Then it was "accepted"  what does this mean?

The bottom line is I want to know if the idea I submitted will be incorporated into a future software upgrade.

"Accepted" means it was accepted as something to implement in the future.  The tracking number is their internal reference number for their change request system used to track changes to the software.  When the idea is finally implemented the status of the request should change to "Implemented".  As far as when it will be implemented, you could try posting again in the original request to see if there is a projected date for when it will be done.

Hi Bruce,

To be honest, we don't provide a timeframe for implementation because it's often difficult to predict.  We have a running, prioritized list of enhancements that is continuously refined based on customer input from the Idea Station and other sources.  That continuous refinement allows us to maintain focus on key enhancements, but it also means that any request can move up or down the list before ultimately being scheduled for a release.  Additionally, once an improvement is scheduled for a release, there's no gaurantee that it won't be deferred if we feel that the quality, value or experience isn't sufficient by the time the release goes out the door.

I can tell you that the Sketch improvement that was the subject of your inquiry (FUS-15315) is currently scheduled for release in April, but understand that the schedule can change.

Please tell me what happened to my idea, FUS-15315.  The last reply I got from you was that it would be implemented in April 2015 (subject to change).  It one year later and it still hasn't been implemented.

Our priorities have changed since Charles communicated the status.  We have been focused on fully constraining sketches and offset.  Because of this, I do not see it being implemented in the near future.
