You could use the Modify > Move command after creating the coil to rotate the body/component generated by the coil command.
You may also be able to follow some other workflows to generate a helical coil. Do you have a screenshot or can your provide a little more context to your question? Most likely there is more than one correct answer, here.
Check out the below screencast where I generate a tapered helical feature as a potential solution example.
Hi
Thanks, I found out that too but I thought that there may be was a function for constraining the startpoint to some structure or with an absolute angle. Move works fine for now but perhaps I will formulate and submit an idea to the Ideastation. However, I must say that the function for creating a coil is very powerful and conveniant for common coil geometries.
Thanks ones again
Peter
If you post a link back here to the ideastation request, I'll be sure to add a vote as well.
I also wanted to share this script with you as well in case it proves useful.
Thanks,
Hi
It seems that there already is a plan in fusion 360 roadmap to make the "Move" command parametric. Is that correct ? In such a case I do not think that I should write to the ideastation about this...or do you want me to do it ?

Peter
Hi
Thanks Jeff, I am glad to see that parametric function will take place and that we will be able to use absolut values of angles, length etc. instead of just relative. Both the parametric function and the posibility to put in absolute values should be implemented in other features too e.g. Hole function, even if there already is an option of connecting the position of holes to a sketch but it would be very useful if the absolute values could be used even in the "direct" placement of holes.
