Split body without splitting face

I am creating a wing profile piece that goes inside a wing to keep the outer foil in shape.
I need to cut the body without cutting the face to create a X shaped supports inside.
The idea is to keep the body filled (then in 3D printer settings setting the infill to 0 and perimeters to 1, creating the lightest possible object).

How can I achieve this? I've searched everywhere for clues on how to do this but no luck.

I've tried splitting the body and then trying to stitch the faces back together but that didn't work since stitching surfaces from two different bodies is not allowed.

All help/ideas appreciated Smiley Happy

Which body do you need to cut, the wing, the wing profile piece (frame or section), the outer foil, etc.  Are you working with solid models or tsplines?  How are you printing each piece and/or how are you assembling them?

Note: You can export stls that consist of multiple components but will print as one object.
