Snap to the intersection between a plane and a line

Hi all,

I'm trying to constrain the center of a circle that I've built on the surface of a construction plane with the point formed by the intersection of the plane with an orthogonal line (see image). But nothing works: neither the snap when I draw the circle, neither the "coincident" constraint, if I try to apply this command after drawing the circle. It seems that simply F360 doesn't consider the intersection point as a "interesting item" for building another object, or make some other work with it.

How can I resolve? And, generally speaking, I don't understand the logic that F360 put on this type of issues. Because I'm absolutely secure that there is a logic. Someone can explain me?

Hi,

if the sketch (sketch3?) is active, you create a projection (P) and click on the point in sketch 1/2. Then a point appears in the active layer, which you can use as position for your circle.

So the logic is: "A point  exist in a different sketch only if projected from the sketch where it is created?". Is that correct?

YES!

Maybe this setting in the preferences is an option for you.

But be careful if you do not want the geometry to be projected automatically.

Hi. 

I know this post of you is a couple years old, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this soluction. I had the same problem as the guy you responded to, and I could have saved dozens of hours at this point if only I knew this setting in the options menu.
