Slant one side of a rectangular hole

This is a simple easel, 3/16" Maple, and I want the tab to slide into the rectangular hole but I need to slant the hole as shown in the video.  Actually I'll probably need to slant both sides, one slant on each side, but I don't see how to do that.  I know I'm probably not working in the correct plane or maybe there's a simple way to just pull the existing hole toward where I need it slanted.

I've attached a quick sketch I did in CorelDraw to illustrate a side view of what I want to do.  The light gray is the easel body, the darker gray is my intended cut, and the dashed line represents the current straight extrusion.

Anyway, I hope my attempt to show what I want makes sense and I appreciate the suggestions I'll get - they always seem to work!!

Thanks!

David

Hi David,

Option 1

Use the Modify, Draft command. See Draftfeature.png. Feel free to use two draft features to get the desired effect if one does not work

Option 2(Use only if Option1 does not work)

You can use two extrusion cuts and create the slanted faces. Please see attached picture. I'm assuming you need 2 slanted faces. Again you can build any slant angle and end conditions you need.

If this is difficult to follow please attach the file or if need be I could create it in a model and share it.

Thanks so much, Shekar!  I used the draft method and it worked perfectly after I figured out which face and plane to select.
