sketching a star

Hi, 

 

I am a beginner in Fusion 360 and i am having a hard time drawing a sharp star, i go to polygons but cant turn them to star, i looked for help on the community but cant find anything.

Thank you all for your help and support, i am just surprised the a software that strong has no basic tool to draw a basic shape like a star. its almost there in any other software.

This can be achieve even with simple Extrude and Chamfer.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

You can do it with an extrude tapered but it is a bit hit or miss. Files attached.

I am brand new to CAD.  This is almost exactly what I have been trying to create.  Thank you for sharing.  I have also been trying to create a start that is exactly this, only inverted.  As in it was carved into a material instead of protruding out of it.  I am hoping that it is a simple adjustment that I have not figured out yet.  Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
