Sketches, VCarve, and Fusion 360

My question is a bit complicated but hear me out:

I am attempting to convert a Fusion 360 file into VCarve. I used file-> open details in web-> web convert to DXF-> received email-> downloaded to computer->opened in Vcarve. All works okay until I open. I noticed it is only using the sketches I created before laying out my components. I realize that the flat components now need to be converted to sketches or however that may work. How can I go about doing this? Everything else makes sense and is working just fine, I only am having trouble with the sketch layout. Here is a screenshot and link to open. Sorry if this is confusing!

The components need to be sketches like mentioned in order for them to appear in vcarve. The way I do this is by creating a sketch on the face of a component, then closing the sketch without doing anything in the sketch and then going to the model tree and selecting the sketch and selecting save as dxf. You can do this on all of the pieces for the chair then open the dxf and combine them all to one and open that file in vcarve

This assumes you have 'Auto project geometry on active sketch plane' enabled in Preferences|General|Design.

@whittakerdw That’s how I started obtaining my dxf output,

then came along @prainsberry ‘s Addin, called DXFer, on github, that I can’t do without.

DXFer, will take a selection of planar faces, in any location, and output to one dxf File.

You have the option for layers or block when in the process.

Might help....

I was unaware of that. That sounds like that would be really helpful
