Sketch won't Lock.

This is a drawing for a tool holder for some hex tools. The drawing seems to be fully defined and dimensioned. None of the features can be moved. The sketch icon remains with a pencil icon instead of a lock Icon. I am trying to determine what I have done wrong. I will also include a copy of this file.

Hi,

After looking at the sketch, I can only conclude: Less is more.

The sketch is hopelessly overloaded and should urgently be divided into several sketches.
One will not be able to master this maze.

Hi @bigmpowers ,

I think you may have stumbled onto a bug with our sketch solver this is a known issue and the development team is looking into it.  I'll send them your sketch as more real world cases for them to interrogate as to why this is happening.

I will also echo what @g-andresen said, with sketches in Fusion, less is definitely more.  You could certainly break your sketch into multiple sketches, but at the very least I'd suggest that you not put details like fillets and chamfers in the sketch unless they are critical to your design intent.  You'll have better performance from both your sketches and your overall models and assemblies.  Features like fillets, chamfers, etc.  use the modeling features for these more often. If you try remaking the sketch and keep the shapes to lines circles and rectangles you the solver is much more stable.  I always like to remind folks that the simpler your sketches are, the easier it'll be to isolate, troubleshoot and fix problems when you encounter them.

hope this helps,

Thank you for your time and feedback. I will start with doing everything I can to simplify the sketch. I will post again to say how it worked.

Yes. I removed the outline with the fillets and started over keeping as simple as possiable and it locked. I'm incliuting a screen shot of the new drawing.
