Sketch rectangular pattern direction flip-flops while editing

I'm into the very start of a project and started sketching the floorplan and elevations for a simple post frame building.  I decided to use the sketch-based rectangular pattern to place the posts so they can be seen easily in the floorplan.  It's trivial, of course, but here's the odd thing:  as I edit the sketch, the post positions keep flip flopping direction along the X axis!  What the heck?  I've been using Fusion for many years, but don't use sketch rectangular patterns often.

I attached the file.  You may see the post pattern show up inside the floorplan, or outside if it flip-flopped.  Edit the floorplan and open/close the rectangular pattern (next to the origin) and it corrects itself.  There's a construction line outside the floorplan that you can grab and watch the pattern flip-flop.  I'm wondering if there might be a good workaround.

I'm currently on Fusion 2.0.18719 x86_64.
