Sketch position on ribbon

Why did the sketch buttons on the ribbon bar get moved to the left with the latest update?  How do I put them back to the right side of create and modify like they used to be?   I don't like sketch tucked into the corner like this.

This change was made to reflect the workflows in Fusion 360 which typically start with Sketch. We found that new users, especially people new to 3D parametric modeling, were confused because Sketch seemed secondary in a "right to left, top to bottom" hierarchy where sketch always came after primitive and model commands. Now Sketch comes first in order of right to left, signifying that it's where you should most likely start your design.

Currently there is no way to return the Sketch tools to the middle.

Thanks,

I don't agree with making changes like this, especially when there is no option to switch back.

It has been laid out the old way for years, I'm used to it.

If you wanted to make an improvement, why not make the sketch v  menu selection button thicker instead of just moving it to the left, wedging it between file tabs, browser tabs and sketch buttons?

On my 4k monitor, the button to select the sketch drop down is so tiny that it is a crap shoot it your going to select it or hit something else by mistake.

When you make changes like this, you aren't just changing your own personal layout to your preferred settings, you are changing everyone's  whether they like it or not.

Thanks for the feedback.  You make a really good point about the size of the menu button.  We're working through some proposals now to make this menu more accessible.

In the meantime, I can offer a few suggestions:

1) Use the "Add to Toolbar" button next to any command in the menus to place that command in the toolbar, avoiding the need to access the menu each time.  This is especially useful for high resolution monitors where you have a lot of horizontal toolbar space.

2) Use keyboard shortcuts: L=Line, R=Rectangle, C=Circle, etc.

3) Use the Sketch Toolbox (accessible by pressing the S key) to get quick access to commands without traveling to the toolbar.  You can customize the Toolbox by searching for a command and then selecting the "Add to Toolbox" button.

With a few minutes of customization, you should be able to set tailor Fusion to be able to work almost entirely from the canvas, avoiding frequent use of the toolbar and the toolbar menus.

Hope this helps.
