Sketch on the curved surface - is it possible?

Hi! (Again.)

On the enclosed drawing is selected curved side of the ship's superstructure. I want to draw several windows and doors on it. The idea is to make the sketch on this surface. When starting new sketch I can't select this surface, it is not a plane (X-Y, X-Z, Y-Z...) in coordinate system. How to bypass this problem?

In order to create a sketch you must use a flat plane. You can create a plane tangent to the surface or on the side.  Then sketch on that plane and finally project the sketch on to the surface or do split face using the sketch.

Thank you Mike for the advice. 🙂 I will try this way (tangent plane), but I must see how to define this plane.
