Sketch needed for reference disappears

I made a sketch early in the timeline and later another sketch on top the first to reference a point.  Now I need to make a slight move to the first sketch to a point on the second but the second disappears when I open the first to edit.

I don't think I can move the second sketch backwards in the time line so how do I accomplish this?

Hi @smallfavor

I may be mis-reading your inquiry, but to me it seems you have a point in Sketch B referenced to a point in Sketch A and now you want to move Sketch A so that a point in Sketch A references a point in Sketch B.

Are you not entering infinite loop territory here?

Regards

John

It does look like a conundrum.  If you can notice from the vid, I need to slightly relocate one of the parallel slot shapes slightly lower so it's centerline intersects the slot angling upwards.  That's the later drawing that disappears when I try to edit the first.

What's the cool guy way to handle this problem?
