sketch moved

Hello All,

I created a sketch and extruded sections positive and negative from the sketch as shown below. I cannot seem to move or copy the sketch to the bottom so I can set up some hole extrusions.

I then created a sketch perpendicular and offset from the original sketch, shown as the face above and extruded a hole and went to lunch. When I came back Microsoft had rebooted my machine and when I opened my backup project the new sketch that was offset is now on the center line. Now when I try to offset the sketch the newest extrusion disappears?

So I am having problems using an offset plane and redefine sketch plane with this project, being a beginner I am sure it is something I set up wrong or am using a tool incorrectly. I would like to get the sketch back to the face of the project above.

Any help understanding this would be great.

Thanks,

Bryan

Moving sketches that have already had 3d bodies created from them should not be moved as this will cause the 3d bodies to also move.  Create a new sketch on the face you want the holes and project the geometry from the original sketch to the new sketch.  If the holes are not countersunk or counterbored, you don't need to create a new sketch.  Use the From Object, To Object, or Two Direction Extrude to place the holes on the bottom face.
