Sketch Issues

When I first used Fusion 360  if I drew a box it would offer me one dimension in blue. I would fill it in then it would offer me the other dimension box to fill in.  Same applies to putting in cubes etc.

Now I fill in the first dim and the box appears drawn on the screen, I never get the option to do the subsequent dimensions.

Is the software at fault or am I missing something.  Its a minor issue but quite annoying.

Hi @Talyllyn,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I just tried this out on my computer and it seems that I can enter in all 3 dimensions just fine. When creating a box, I select my plane and then click my first point to be where I want it and then I type my first dimension, hit enter, and then it automatically goes to the next dimension. Just to check, are you clicking to put both points in when drawing the cube? By doing so I think it will "lock in" those dimensions and then take you to the extrusion dialog for the box. Is this what you are seeing? If so, try only clicking the first point to set the box in place and then dimension it accordingly. Let me know if that worked!

Thanks,

I have just opened up fusion 360. Drawing a cube I hit the plane I wish to draw on. Draw a random rectangle from my origin. One dim is blue; so I edit it then hit return.  Instead of being offered the second dim in blue.  It jumps to the rendered block and offers me the height option in blue.  It seems to be jumping a step, which it did not do when I first had the software.

Hi @Talyllyn,

Hmmm that seems strange. I just tried again to reproduce that on my computer and couldn't. Check out my screencast below.

Can you create a screencast based on what you are seeing?

Thanks,
