I had to upgrade renecently and am wondering if there's some limitation now taking place with my graphics card.  The sketching mode has become too slow to be useable.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

Radeon Pro 570 4096 M

40 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

OS - 10.12.6

This sketch would be slow on any computer. It has more to do with Fusion 360's sketch engine than with any hardware.

It simply chokes on the large number of un-constrained sketch elements.

I'd try to break this down into several smaller sketches and work with patterning solid geometry or features.

So when I go the features multiples and mirroring route I get a rather tedious neccessity of selecting every single face of every single hole that needs to be mirrored or arrayed.  Is there some means of making groups of faces or some kind of selection method that would make this more efficient???

You can see what's new at the same link.

There is the Selection Set mechanism in Fusion - select a bunch of faces, right click and choose "Create Selection Set":

Alternately, you can select faces in the Mirror command by selecting the feature(s) that created them in the timeline.

Either of those should make the job easier.

Yes.

The difference between faces and Features, is that you select the feature on the timeline, that made the faces....

Eg select hole icon, and all the holes made with that icon are selected,  you can select multiple features,

or body/s or component/s, from the browser

Don't know why faces is default....

I'd dispensed with the time line to make it easier to coordinate some sketches at some point and no longer had the feature selection option.  I'd forgotten about the selection filters.  I use three different cad apps and it's difficult to say the least to remember all the differences when I switch around.  There seems to be an increase in non conventional approaches to conventional modeling creation.
