Sketch entities not selectable

Hi,

During the past few days I have been experiencing problems with the sketch interface.  The most work debilitating one is not being able to select entities which have been sketched.

Steps taken,

  1. Create new sketch
  2. sketch shape, line, entities,......
  3. attempt to re-select previously drawn entities (no bueno!)

Can you attach your F3D file that has unselectable sketch entities?

File attached.

Although this is happening on more than just this file.  It seems to be a "global" failure at the moment.

Have done a restart of fusion with no success.

I am also not able to select dimensions in sketch mode unless I have selected to add dimensions.  May or may not be related.

Your file works correctly at this end, with my Preference settings,

two sketches, click anything on screen it highlights.

Edit sketch, click anything on screen it highlights.

What is not happening at your end?

as the screen cast shows, I am not able to select a sketch entity after it has been created.  The only thing selectable are the features of the components as projections or new features.  Although once a new sketch feature is created I am no longer able to select it.

I occasionally experience something like this when using my wacom tablet.  In my case, I usually have to reinstall the drivers for the tablet.  I wonder if this is related to your mouse drivers.

A computer (laptop) restart has seemed to fix the problem.

The issue is back and restarting no longer seems to be solving the issue.

Any ideas out there what may be causing this?

If the entity is a dimension I am able to select dimensions "press d" and then I can select a dimension.  Although if I would like to select a point of line, circle,.... I am not able to select them.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same issue, although I have nothing but a basic sketch, just a closed spline line/rectangle.

I set a few dimensions, and then I am no longer able to select anything in the sketch. Its almost as if the software has frozen, however I can still pan/scroll and stop sktech etc.

If I stop sketch and then edit the same sketch, i have the same issue.. So if i want to move a line or even just select it, I can't. It's as if the sketch is locked.

I have been training all morning, nothing different with this design than anything else I have been doing. Noticed it on my last exercise and the current one.

Hello,
Not sure if it's still relevant as it's a relatively old thread.
I had the same issue and for me this solution worked:
Under Select / Selection filters make sure that Sketch Points and Edges are selected (the easiest way to test if it works is to select them all)
