simulation: compression of a cylinder on a rigid plate

New to fusion 360.  I am trying to simulate the compression of a pin on a rigid plate (see pic).

Under a normal load the pin should reduce in height in the Z direction slightly and expand radially.

I'm getting an error as shown in the attached picture. Where am I going wrong with setting up this simulation?

You didn't include a Structural Constraint.

If you want to see the stress on the plate also, put a Structural Constraint on the bottom of it. If you're just interested in the pin, put a Structural Constraint on the bottom of the pin.

You need a constraint on one side, and a load on the other side, so that the solver knows what is being squeezed against what.

Fusion does have a lot of error messages that are cryptic or otherwise not very helpful. But in this case, the error message you got pretty much explained it.
