Odd that that doesn't work but if you use the midpoint constraint it will. Select the Midpoint constraint from the sketch palette, pick the midpoint on the first line then just pick anywhere on the second line.

that helped. Not so natural. Not so obvious. Not so necessary (my opinion) new midpoint constraint

 

Is there any reason anyway why the most simple way is not available?

 

I want to make coincident two points > Enter command coincident > click the two points

@admaiora,

 

What you are experiencing is a bug that had been recently found.  It has to deal with the center points of two lines, the team is working towards a solution.  I found that you can apply a vertical/horizontal constraint followed by a coincidence constraint to the two center points and it will work.
