Be careful around here throwing words around like "drawing".  What your talking about is a sketch, a whole diferent thing than "drawings" (as in technical drawings)

When you make a closed planer shape in a sketch, it becomes a profile that can be used for 3d operations (like extrude or loft).  Very helpful if that's what you want to do.  If you don't want to see the yellow profiles, you can toggle them off in the sketch pallet.

That makes more sense with the sketches.  I didn't find anything in the Sketch Pallet. But I did find this on the bottom under display settings>Visual Style>Wireframe

Capture.JPGThat should work?

The fact that Fusion recognized a closed group of lines as a Profile and shades them in on your screen is irrelevant. What you want for a 2D file for a laser cutter or water jet just needs the lines. The shaded Profile isn't something that exists, it's just a function of Fusion's internal workings.

So yeah, you can view your model in Wireframe mode if you want to, but it doesn't change anything about the dxf export or what happens on your water jet.
