Should I chamfer or loft? or am I thinking about this all wrong?

Hi everyone,

trying to make a beveled/chamfered blade for a cosplay. I had an idea of how I wanted to do it but I'm getting stuck and its not turning out how I would expect it to. I'm more of a hobbyist when it comes to using fusion so I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish this and would like some assistance. I will provide reference images as well as my file.

Use surface Lofts between the top face of the narrow blade, to the outline in sketch 1.  Will have to be built in stages.

I extruded a modified sketch 2. see boss area and hid body 1.

On the bottom side you have a set of curves (near the Origin) that are not going to allow the chamfer nicely because it is likely to make the point in the outline overlap when joining to the upper curve.

You will need to decide how to work the point of the blade.  (There is not enough Construction in the sketches for that area.)

I have included my modified version of the blade.

This is exactly the direction I needed, thank you, I'll see what I can do with the curves at the bottom but this was super helpful. Thank you again!

Hi! There are multiple ways to get the desirable shape. Here is another solution using Surface Modeling technique. Basically, create a mid plane and split the bottom faces. Then use Ruled Surface command to create the angled side faces from the split edges at the bottom.
