Hello.

I am trying to shell my design to get the wall thickness of 3mm for 3D printing. I tried to shell by clicking the bottom of the design, but I get a failure for some reason.

That geometry is very unlikely to shell. Too many sharp creases that would create self intersection geometry when shelling.

Would you mind sharing how this was created ?

Did it have a timeline, which you deleted along wth a number of sketches etc. before exporting it ?

I used Rhino to build it and exported as a STEP file. Are there any other ways to create walls except shell? Thank you.

Yes, you'l have to do that manually similar I assume how you'd do that in Rhino. In the patch workspace you can spit that solid body into surface bodies, which you then can offset and trim.

It will be a bit of work 😉

Thanks for your reply! Can you tell me more about how to split the solid bodies?
