sheet metal features needed

Like the title suggests, here are 5 sheet metal features needed.

 

1) Normal to thickness cut. I know the work around is to cut,then flatten, and trim some more. It is easier if it could be handled in one step.

2) Closed corner. Unless I am missing where this command is located we need to be able to close corners (2 and 3) with conditions of closed, open, overlap, gap, etc.

3) Hem

4) When you create a flange, have the ability to edit the sketch of it. 

5) Contour flange, you can start a sheet metal feature by drawing a profile, lets extend this by having the ability to draw a profile on the edges and when selecting the flange command it turns this profile into a flange that is attached to the existing sheetmetal body.

Thank you for your feedback.  I have commented on each of your requests in blue.

 

1) Normal to thickness cut. I know the work around is to cut,then flatten, and trim some more. It is easier if it could be handled in one step.

Cut normal by default is at the top of my back log and we hope to be starting soon

2) Closed corner. Unless I am missing where this command is located we need to be able to close corners (2 and 3) with conditions of closed, open, overlap, gap, etc.

The current workflow is to use extrude, press/pull and move to create your corner conditions.  I do have plans for a feature to enhance this workflow, it will be prioritized after we have nesting.

3) Hem

Right now you can sketch your hem and then use the flange tool to join your hem (let me know if you would like a video).  Similar to the request above, a hem feature will be prioritized after we have nesting.

4) When you create a flange, have the ability to edit the sketch of it. 

At this time we have no intentions of creating this workflow.  I understand that it is how SolidWorks handles creating custom flanges, based off of other feedback and research there are other enhancements we have planed for flange.

I have great news, this workflow exists in Fusion 360.  Here is a video of the workflow, http://autode.sk/2xJyTy6    it is also the solution I mentioned in #3.  Notice if it is touching the edge of the current component you can do multiple edges.  If it's not touching you can only do one. Can you provide some thoughts on how we could make this more discoverable?
