Shaft with helix slots.

Shaft with helix slots.

Hello,

I want to create a shaft with two different helix slots on it.

The first for example has to be 3 revolutions, pitch 15 mm

The second has to start from the end of the first and has to be 5.5 rev. and pitch 20 mm.

I tried using coil but I can't change the rotation angle when using "move/copy".

I appreciate your help.

To do it correctly is not an endeavor for beginners.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Not really.

To get correct geometry you need a helical path generated from a triangle coil - I would demonstrate, but you model doesn't provide enough information on the True Design Intent.

Do you have an existing 2D detail drawing that you are attempting to reproduce in 3D model?

Also, I changed the dimensioning scheme in your Sketch1 to match shop floor manufacturable/measurable dimensions.
