When trying to run a static stress simulation a meshing error description self intersection pops up. How could this problem be solved so we could run the simulation?

Hey ,
I think the problems you're having stem from the fact that you have separate objects overlapping. Notice the vertical rectangular solid in the exploded view attached. I don't know much about simulation, but I suspect you'd get better results if you used the combine tool to join all the parts that are contiguous, and remove (or hide) the rectangular piece inside the fuselage.
