Selection mode

How did the selection mode in a sketch change from a rectangle to free form?  How can it be changed back?  There are no obvious menu items to control this.

Somehow, you must have selected Freeform selection mode.  All you need to do is choose Window Select from the dropdown under Select:

And it'll go back to window select

Hi etfrench,

 

The selection method can be changed back from the Ribbon. Please refer to the screenshot below. We can also change it via shortcut key - "1" for rectangle selection and "2" for freeform selection.

At the 2:25 mark in this screencast the Select tool changes from Window Selection to Paint Selection.  The Dimension tool was active at the time.
