Selecting Profiles

This is killing me, 

 

How to I have fusion select only sketch profiles, excluding surface or face profiles? Only the sketch is visible, I have I'd have to select every internal face profiles to get the extrude I want. I'm clearly missing a setting somewhere.

 

Thanks for the help in advance.

start be deselecting this setting in preferences-

then redo your sketch.

I hope I am understanding, try holding the Ctrl (Cmd) and used the left mouse button to select or de-select desired profiles.

You can control the selection filter, either during a command (e.g. Extrude), or when no command is active, using the Selection Filter dropdown.  Set it to only Sketch Profiles to limit the selection to those types.
