I've tried to follow a tutorial on youtube, whereby some faces on a sculpt mode plane are dragged, but I'm getting very different results.
Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy4Zx8_MXyU
Around 2:06 minutes in, he selects some faces and then pulls them upwards. The outer faces seem to have some sort of 'inertia', or are less 'influenced' by the selection, causing them to remain fairly flat in comparison, and giving steep sides to the area pulled up.
However, when I copy this technique (and I've taken pains to make sure I copy each step on the video), the outer faces on my plane are dragged up with the selected faces, into steep sides, all the way to the edge of the plane.
I may not be describing this very well, but I've included a couple of screenshots which should illustrate what I'm saying.
I'm sure I have the same settings as in the video. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what settings I might have overlooked? Thanks.
