Set threads to Modeled and compare on your screen - you should be able to see the sizes.
One problem with 3D printing threads though, is that the process is not particularly precise.
You might have to chase the threads with a tap and die.
I use a different CAD program to add a bit of extra clearance.
To answer your question - male an female threads should have the same size and pitch nomenclature, but you need to be sure to set to Modeled and not mere cosmetic representation.
The tap-drill size for a 6mm hole is not 6mm. Fusion will resize the hole to the correct tap-drill size when you add the thread feature.
If the hole was 6mm - the fastener would simple push through the hole with no threads to engage.
All of this can be visually seen on the screen.
