Scale or move faces, edges, or points by themselves

I'm learning Fusion so I thought I'd start by designing a guitar neck since I have several near my desk at any time. I'm familiar with 3d toa degree -- I can find my way around Blender easily enough.
So I managed to get the profile drawn with Sculpt > Face. Then I thickened it to make the length of the neck. One end of a guitar neck is wider and thicker, so I select all of the faces that are on one end of the body and click Modify > Scale. And it automatically selects every part of the body so it only scales as one unit.
So I figure I have to jump back into Scuplt mode. So I do. Then I select all of the faces on that end of the body, look for a scale or size option anywhere. None. Ok, what next?
I figure I'll select all of the edges one one half and move them over to make it wider. Not ideal since I need to make it taller as well, but I'll worry about that later. I select the edges, Right-Click > Move. It selects everything and I can't move just one face or point or edge.
I did tge same starting with a spline and extruding but i couldnt get that to work either.
How can I do this? It seems like a pretty simple thing to do, so i must be missing something
