Save sketch as .DXF missing projected geometry also Fusion DXF export issue

I am struggling to right click and save a sketch as a .DXF

The problem I am having is when I right click save as DXF the file does not include projected geometries. However the DXF is produced to scale in inches which I want.

When I use Fusion Export to DXF, the file comes out properly (Including all sketch geometry as well as projected geometry. But, when opening the DXF file in my other CAM software (Griffo Brothers for Mazatrol Programming) the exported DXF is using centimeters instead of inches. I tried modifying the file in notepad++ with no luck. My document settings are in inches.

I'm sure there is more than one way to fix this issue and any workaround would be appreciated.  Thank you.

The file linked below was exported via fusion. When I open it in my cam software all dimensions are in centimeters and cannot be changed.

Can you export your Fusion design and attach here as an f3d? If there's more than one sketch in the design which one are you exporting.

Not enough info for anyone to help at the moment.

There is only one sketch in the design. I attached the file below

In general I think Fusion's dxf output and input need work. Default units have no effect, even when I export from inches to Fusion, fusion sets them to mm or meters.... it's not just one file, it's all of them. I also have this same issue importing STEP files.

Also, exporting a sketch to dxf of a projected surface often requires me to close small gaps in the corners, even when the sketch is showing as closed. not a big deal with square parts but curvy parts with splines joining each other often have gaps and I don't want to change the geometry by moving a spline node ever so slightly.

This isn't something that I need help with on one particular project, this is across the board consistent behavior that other people in my company have also seen. Just something that is annoying but easy enough to work around since we have to at the moment.

I exported this sketch as DXF from the context menu on the sketch, and re-imported it into the same design on an offset plane, and I don't see any missing geometry.  Can you tell me what is missing here?

Imports fine into ZW3d and unit info is read from the DXF file Fusion's exported.

Also imports into Rhino correctly as long as I set Rhino to inches then import.

One problem you might have is you have duplicate curves. You probably have auto project geometry on active sketch  plane enabled so when you select the face you get one set of curves then you've projected again.

The duplicate curves were confusing ZW3d, after cleaning up the sketch in fusion and removing the copies I can import in ZW3D and extrude a closed solid that's the correct size so not a lot wrong with the DXF from Fusion.

Thank you all. So to get the DXF correctly into Griffo Brothers Camlink (Mazatrol Programming CAM) I had to right click save as DXF the projected sketch. Then I open a new window in Fusion and import the previously saved DXF. When I import it, it is no longer projected geometry and it is all closed geometry. When I then right click and save as DXF, the file imports properly into all of my other CAD/CAM software. Thank you for the help!

@cjelley91  That's strange. Can you try a couple of things, first try disabling auto projection then create a new sketch and project so you don't have the duplicate and try SaveAsDXF.

If that doesn't help you could try unchecking projection link when you create the projections. But be careful because the sketch will not update if you make changes.
