I find myself regularly needing to created a rounded corner in a sketch when starting from a datasheet schematic. Say I have a rectangle and it calls for having rounded corners with a 5mm radius. Is there an easy way to do this using arcs or other method? It would be easy if it were possible to create a 2-tangent arc the same way we can currently create a 2-tangent circle. Currently, my (tedious) process is to do the following.
- In the corner I want to round, I create a 2-tangent circle with the necessary radius.
- Use the break tool to break the corner lines and the circle.
- Delete the broken corner lines and the part of the circle that I no longer need.
- Rinse & repeat for all corners that need to be rounded.
Please tell me there's an easier way.
Thanks,
Ian
