rotating slot around elliptical body

I am looking to create a slot at multiple points in the body of a shelled elliptical body. I can certainly create 2 slots via extruding the sketch slot to cut across the body; but I would like to replicate that multiple times. In a sketch, we can do a circular pattern which is avoids the manual work - I am looking for an analogous workflow to cut a slot in an elliptical body shell. Any ideas?

Thanks!

How many slots?  Or is it variable?

Hi, @salesP8KAX.

Do you look for something like this?

To make this I used Sheet Metal Environment, where I could unfold an ellipse like that, make a retangular pattern and refold it (there were many other steps for this, see attached file).

There is also the Solid Pattern on Path, where you could extrude the slot using the ellipse as pattern, but you will have distortions on your body, mainly on the major axis corners (there is also a file attached).

Hi - ideally variable like the sketch pattern workflow but if that is not possible, fixed would be ok too. Thanks!

Sketch pattern workflow isn't really variable - try it.

Feature pattern is variable, easier and more robust technique.
