I am very new to this program and I'm trying to design a ring with multiple extrusions and can't seem to find a way to cut holes with square corners along the design edges.

One solution I thought would be to create all the extrusions I wanted on a flat rectangular surface then wrap that around a circle. I'm not even sure if there is a function that can do that...
Hope I explained myself clearly enough.

Nope, no idea! Could you add some form of image of what you have in mind ?

Hi TrippyLighting,

I have attached just my initial test ring and it's hard to see but all the cuts are not square flat edges. Because I had created a plane from the center of the ring and extruded the shape out and the cylindrical shape of the ring creates not uniform angles in the cut.

What i wanted to do, but I am not sure there is even a way to do it, is to flatten the ring, make all the cuts I want in it and then turn it into a cylindrical shape.

I am not sure if it would work if you projected the shape on the cylindrical surface first  and then extruded the shape.

I just want an easy way to do it, but I am not sure there is.

It's not possible to bend parts at the moment.

You could work with a surface in the Patch workspace, trimming/splitting it, and in the end return to the Model workspace to Thicken it.
