Revolve, unable to Cut

Hello 🙂

I have recently taken on 3d printing and design as a hobby.

Im enjoying making little parts for friends in need of help.

Currently im designing a Fish tank cover, my friend has broken his, and they do not sell replacements.

I am trying to use Revolve, to cut a Bowl shape as seen in the screenshot.

But I am only getting the option to add new component or new body.

Any help is much appreciated.

Have no idea why you do not have the Cut option, easy on my end.  Take a look at the Screencast and replicate.  My model is also attached.

Thank you so much.

I have just realised watching your video where my mistake was.

I had selected revolve from the surface menu, and needed to be in the solid menu.

Thank you so much 🙂

Sorry, I did not notice the Surface feature in the timeline.  Since you did a surface, you could have used it to finish your cutout.  I did another Screencast to show you how in a hope to give you an idea of different options in Fusion 360.  I love surface modeling and use it often.  In this case it is a few extra steps but in some situations, it is the best method.
