Hello,

I'm trying to work out what is stopping the revolute from working. Hope the images can show where the problem is. Thank you in advance.

The square is built out of multiple components, each has some joints

I've applied the revolute joint and animation shows it's working

When I try to move the joint it doesn't work

I can't see your screenshot very clearly and I don't have Fusion in front of me but I am not seeing any of your components are being grounded. For successful manipulation of joints, Fusion needs to have at least one component/body grounded in order to determine relative motion of the joints.

I've tried grounding components. Didn't help. Same results. Thank you the tip on grounding

From what you have shown us, something odd going on, of the three pics, there is only one Joint in the Joint Folder, can see other revolves and sliders.

I can see what you want to do, with the sides closing together, and the top fold over the bottom,

the two lower legs of the sides need to be planar, same for the top side legs, so the top and bottom rails stay aligned, but not locked in the open state,

How much of that is working correctly, before it froze up?

Beyond my expertise, but might get you thinking....
