Reverse copy new component

I created a duplicate component using create new. I now want to "reconnect" the components so they both use the same geometry. So changes to one updates the other. I don't know what the shared geometry relationship is called.

Abandon the second component.

Copy / Paste (without the New option) or Pattern the original.

Might help….

there is no way to "reconnect" a separate component that has been created with Paste New to its original.  What @davebYYPCU suggests is really the only workflow.
